Pat Hanna

Patrick Hanna’s career in art and related fields spans more than 30 years.

After earning a B.S. degree in Commercial Art from Central Missouri State University in 1970, he served as Art Director for Outdoors, Incorporated. 

In this position, he was responsible for graphic design and print supervision on numerous national advertising accounts in the outdoor sporting industry.

For 14 years, Hanna worked as a free lance graphic designer and illustrator, serving clients in several Midwestern states. 

From 1975-78, he also served as Visiting Instructor in Commercial Art at Columbia College.

Hanna joined BHN Advertising of Columbia in 1985, where he served as Senior Art Director and Assistant Creative Director. In 1988 he became co-owner and president of Hanna Stanley St. John Advertising, and also serves as the company’s creative director.

Hanna’s interest in studio art closely parallels his advertising career.  He has participated in numerous exhibits and competitions, and received numerous honors and awards. He was the visual artist for the 1987 Missouri River Festival of the Arts, and participated in two subsequent retrospective exhibits in conjunction with that festival.

His work was included in two ‘Artists Along the Katy Trail’ statewide touring exhibits. Most recently, two of his paintings were featured in ‘Face It--Portraits’, a juried exhibition of the St. Louis Artists Guild.
