Courthouse Comments:

Western Commissioner - Bob Brueckner: "I want to thank all of Cooper County for supporting us. Cooper County has needed this facility since 1978. I thought we had a winner because most of the county has been very supportive."

Sheriff - Paul Milne: "First of all I want to thank the citizens of Cooper County for their support, I want to thank the County Commissioners for their excellent job of promoting along with the jail committee and the staff of the Cooper County Sheriff's Department."

Judge - Ken Askren: "A new Boiler and a New Jail all in the same day is more than I could of ever hoped for."

County Treasurer - Stan Serck: "I'm glad that it passed. I know a lot of people worked very hard to put together the facts for the County voters. The longer we would have waited the more expensive it would have been."

Presiding Commissioner - Eddie Brickner: "I feel real good that the proposal was accepted by the voters of Cooper County, I think the vote speaks well of the efforts of the advisory panel and assessment committee efforts in putting the proposal together. Special thanks to all who were involved."

Prosecuting Attorney - Doug Abele: "As part of the Law Enforcement community, I want to thank the County Commission and the Sheriff and all those who worked so hard on the election; and I also want to thank the citizens of Cooper County for a vote of encouragment to Law Enforcement in Cooper County."

Emergency Management Director - Tom White: "As Emergency Management Director, I am constantly looking for better ways to help and improve public safety and preparedness in the County. By this issue passing, it will allow this office to further that goal and assist even more citizens in the County. And I would personally like to thank all the committee and panel members and voters for their time and efforts."

Juvenile Officer - Linda Lacy: "This is a great day for Law Enforcement and Emergency Management in Cooper County. I appreciate all the hard work that went into making this a reality. I look forward to the progressive changes that will follow."
