Board members attending: JoAnn Sullivan-Chair; Bill Sullivan; David Haun; Harry Stone; Art Schneider and (late) Darin Starr-Secretary/Treasurer
Minutes & Treasurers Report: Not presented due to absence of Sec/Trea.
Old Business:
Art reported on progress of City Tourism Grant. Amanda Dotson has completed ten to fifteen new entries on MRN.
JoAnn reported that she has up-dated the membership list, deleting unknown and unresponsive names. Membership list is now about as accurate as we can make it.
Bill Sullivan reported on solicitation letter to potential new Corporate Sponsors. Ten have been sent out, plus face-to-face follow-up with most. Currently looks like two or three are seriously considering becoming Corporate Sponsors. Art moved that we create a certificate for Corporate Sponsors to use as tax support for donations to a 501©3 organization.
JoAnn reported that a lady from an area school had called and is working on an entry for the Web Contest. Sarah Gallager is also planning to submit an entry. Art reported that two of the checks from the last Web Contest have NOT been cashed. Darin will try to get information on who the recipients were and get their names to JoAnn and Bill to contact them. Board directed Darin to go ahead and stop payment on the original checks. Well re-issue them when appropriate.
Art reported on our Logo Stamps. He has placed five of them as follows:
Boonville Area Chamber of Commerce
University Extension Office
Boonville City Hall
Cooper County Collectors office (Carol Nauman)
Boonville Country Mart (Dave Nicholas)
Bill Sullivan placed one at: Guarantee Land Title
JoAnn has made several calls to Mark Eslick on the MRN Events Calendar, but has not yet been able to talk to either Mark or Teresa. If we cannot get the calendar to work, we will delete it. JoAnn will try one more time to reach Mark.
Art would like to see a list of meeting places on MRN.
New Business:
JoAnn reported on a request from the Boonville Landlords Association to have a listing, or presence on MRN. After considerable discussion, David Haun moved, and Art Seconded motion to create a Landlord Association page. JoAnn will report back to them and start gathering data for the listing.
