TAX STATEMENTS:
Mailed the middle of November.
Payable on or before December 31
It is the responsibility of the tax payer to verify your statements and make
sure they are correct.

An administrative fee of 4.75% will be added when taxes are paid by credit card)
PENALTY: 5% on any delinquent tax plus 2% per month
TAX RECEIPTS:
Duplicates available at $1 per receipt
DELINQUENT TAX SALES:
Real estate taxes that are three years delinquent are offered at
a tax sale held the FOURTH MONDAY OF AUGUST. A minimum bid of
total tax due plus any expense by the collector's office is
required. Purchasers must sign an affidavit that they do not have
delinquent taxes.
A waiting period of two years is required before a collector's deed will be issued. (During that time the original owner may reclaim the property by reimbursing the purchaser for the amount paid at tax sale plus any taxes paid during that time plus 10% interest.)
