The structure was built for the National Guard Armory according to National Guard specifications and was their third location in Boonville. It was built in 1948 on the site of a residence of C.W. Sombart. The windows and doors have brick surrounds brick which also accent the structure/s corners. The south façade indicates two doors which have been enclosed. The building was used as a movie theater for a few years and is presently used as a church.
