626 E. Morgan
Abstract information indicates that a portion of the house was built between 1876 and 1883 by Henry Hoffmeister, a teamster. Additions were done in the early 1900s. This little structure shows the tradition of styles and architectural motifs within the community. On the northwest is a later porch which has molded concrete block columns. The concrete floor extends across the full length of the north façade. The entrance has a transom. There is a pent roofed addition, covered with composition siding across the south, including a small addition on the south of the east rectangular bay. A hand-carved fireplace graces the living room. A gable roofed outbuilding sheathed with corrugated metal, is at the alley to the south.
