The structure was built in the 1850s on a plan with 2 rooms on each level. The main block is capped by a wide frieze with scroll brackets. There is a one-story gabled ell extending to the south on the southeast corner. There is a pent addition to its east which adjoins a porch on the east façade of the main block. There are several additions to the rear. To the south is a stuccoed one-car garage. A concrete drive to the east of the residence gives access from Spring St. to the garage.
