This house was originally built as a residence by C. L. Randolph,
local builder and contractor. In
1929, the owners, H. W. Michels, remodeled their one-story house into a
two-story duplex which contains 2 six-room apartments, each with a separate
basement and upper story. A large
porch extends across the main façade. It
has a flat roof, a wide entablature, square brick columns, and a brick
balustrade. A new addition is the
2-story frame porch extending across the rear façade.
