This two-story brick Queen Anne style home was built in the early 1900's by J. J. Walther.  It is accented by a projecting chambered bay as the west bay of the north facade.  A one-story porch runs from the bay to the east over an entrance with a transom and one window.  Walther was known as the builder of the last steam ferry to travel from Boonville to Howard County. A structure at the rear of this property, now 210 4th St., was once Walther's workshop.
