714 E. High

The brick home was built about 1920 for Mr. and Mrs. A. E. Hirsch, owners of Hirsch Drug Store.  It is one of only two buildings in town which exemplify the Prairie Style.  It features a one-story raised porch with square brick columns which extends to the east to form an open porch with access to the sun room on the east.  To the west is a two-story projecting ell, the first story of which is a garage.  A one-story enclosed frame porch is on the east.  A large dormer with a e-part window is on the north.  A concrete drive leads from High Street along the west side of the residence t o the garage.
