Mo-River.Net -- MINUTES AUGUST 15, 1997
NOTE: Next Board Meeting is at 10:30 a.m. September 19, 1997, Boonslick Industries
PRESENT: Mark Eslick, Pat Jackson, Jeff Maddy, Tim Nadeau, Art Schneider, Harry Stone, Bill Sullivan, Betty Vollmer, Ginger Wenger, Virginia Wessing and Bill Wood. John Thompson, PIC intern.
Meeting Convened at 10:30 a.m.
Mark Eslick provided a tour of the Mo-River.Net's development and the new sites that have been added since the July meeting.
Mark Eslick also reported that he, Darin Starr and Art Schneider had met August 14 with Saline Countians interested in developing the CIN component.
John Thompson, Private Industry Council intern who developed the Mo-River.Net subject matter pages, linkages, and many of the local pages was recognized for an outstanding accomplishment and given best wishes for a successful college experience at Central Missouri State University.
In other business the group approved forming a not-for-profit corporation and to develop a grant proposal to place six public access computers in the three counties.
Elected officers were:
Bill Wood, president
Ginger Wenger, Vice President
Art Schneider, Secretary-Treasurer
The charter board membership is comprised of those attending the meeting plus those past attendees who have expressed an interest in serving, but not able to attend the session.
Mark Eslick volunteered to gather the incorporation materials and meet with Ginger Wenger and Bill Wood to complete the paperwork. They also were to meet with Art Schneider to develop necessary by-laws and discuss fundamentals of the grant proposal to be submitted.
Meeting adjourned at 11:50 a.m.
