MO-RIVER.NET BOARD MINUTES

Call to Order: Meeting called to order by Darin Starr at 10:45 a.m.

Minutes:  JoAnn moved, motion 2nd, to approve minutes from September meeting with the change of Bill Sullivan not Bill Wood for signing up the Rivercene Bed and Breakfast cooperate sponsor.  Motion passed 

Treasurers report :  JoAnn moved, motion 2nd, to approve report.  Motion passed.  It was also noted that Boonville School and Rivercene sponsor checks have been sent recently although not part of treasurers report.

Grant Proposal: Bill Wood reported that he had submitted a grant to Potter Transportation.  And that the grant submitted to the church had been denied.  Darin expressed a Thank you to Bill for his work in finding grant opportunities for Mo-River. Net.

Channel 3: Harry Stone reported that Channel 3 in Boonville was airing the Mo-River.Net flyer as a community service. 

Election Coverage Page-It was noted that the hyperlinks on the Mo-River homepage and hyperlinks to the county and state pages need to be reviewed to ensure they are working properly.  Information about our intent to provide results on the Internet as they are announced for county elections needs to be given to the county newspapers. Darin will contact the Marshall Democrat News (for Saline County), Bill Sullivan was assigned to work with the Boonville paper and JoAnn Sullivan will work with Fayette and Glasgow newspapers.

WebPage Contest- Proposed rules were reviewed by board.  Bill Wood moved to proceed with a 3 county contest with the age categories of: under 14, 14 - 21, 22 - 64, and 65+.  Prizes will be $50 for first prize, $25 for second, and $10 for 3rd and a Grand Prize of $100. And that we budget $165 for advertising.  Motion 2nd and passed. 

JoAnn moved for the contest time frame to be January 19, 2001 for subject submission, April 6, 2001 for submission to be received, and April 23, 2001 for awarding winners by the Mo-River.Net board.  Motion 2nd and passed

 Adjourn: Bill Wood moved to adjourn, Motion 2nd and passed.  Meeting adjourned at 12:15 p.m.
