December 14, 2001 Board Meeting Minutes
Attending: JoAnn Sullivan, Darin Starr, Bill Sullivan, Tom White, Pete Rodman, David Haun, Harry Stone
Meeting called to order by Chair JoAnn Sullivan
Minutes from October Board Meeting and November Board meeting were presented. Tom moved to accept October Minutes. Motion passed. Bill Sullivan moved to accept November minutes. Motion passed.
Darin presented the Treasurer’s report. Checking account balance is currently $773.15. Moved by Tom to accept Treasurers report, motion was 2nd and passed.
JoAnn led a discussion on the Web Page Contest. Darin moved that the dates for the contest be January 18 for approval of subject, webpage submitted by April 19, and Board voting of winners by May 17. Motion was seconded and passed.
Harry reported that he had been working with the Boonville Welcome Wagon for getting information about Mo-River.net to new comers to the area. Bill moved that we provide the Welcome Wagon with cards and brochures to hand out. Motion seconded and passed.
Also discussed was approaching the Marshall Welcome Wagon and Fayette to see if they can provide this service. Additionally it was discussed that we should send a copy of the brochure to area businesses with a letter soliciting cooperate sponsorship.
Next the Board discussed the By-Laws for Mo-River.net. Items brought up included checking the cooperate name on the State paper, reviewing the number of Board members, policy on Board member attendance to meetings. Bill moved that each board member review the By-Laws and make any comments for changes to JoAnn by the next Board meeting. Motion seconded and passed.
JoAnn will be sending an e-mail message to all board members for suggestions on future meeting dates and times.
Bill moved to adjourn the meeting. Motion seconded and passed.
Meeting adjourned at 11:50 a.m.
