Old Business
Tourism Grant Update Amanda still has 174.25 hours left out of the 520 hours she was contracted to perform. Harry and others with expenses for the MRN cards should get the receipts to Art for documentation on the grant completion.
Web Contest Jane Twenter, winner of this years contest, has now received her check. She has agreed to do a page for Pilot Grove.
Arts Report Community and area Meeting Rooms are now on MRN. Isle of Capri will not quote a price on their meeting rooms, as they do theirs on an individual basis. Some historic sites are now up, but this area still needs work, especially more pictures. Darin did an interactive map of historic sites, but it also still has problems. Art will contact Darin to determine how to proceed with this project. Howard County Social Services Directory is also being added. Local Artist pages are being updated, plus adding more local artists. Outdoor Art project Bust of Walter Williams, founder of the University of Missouri School of Journalism, has been donated! The Hannah Cole piece is still under study and discussion. Clothing and hand-held object(s) must be historically accurate. The piece should also be as vandal-proof as possible.
Membership Nothing new this month. Still need volunteers and board members.
Housing/Landlords Jim Edwards talked to Art about putting information on MRN. JoAnn will contact Jim Edwards to discuss setting up a web page. There are about 25 to 30 members in the Housing/Landlords Assn. At the moment, lower income rentals are mostly filled. Mid to upper ranges are more likely to be vacant.
New Business - Need to go to work on long-range planning. David Haun will start checking MRN links to insure all are working O.K.
No further business appearing, meeting was adjourned.
