ATTENDANCE: David Haun; Don Stevens; Jo Ann Sullivan, Harry Stone, and Art Schneider.

 Minutes: Bill Sullivan’s computer has crashed and he is having the hard drive checked to see if the minutes can be accessed.

 Treasurer’s Report: Harry Stone reported that the account has $823.29 not including liability for payroll taxes for the intern. As it has been paid through March, the amount should be less than $100.

 Community Connection: JoAnn asked if Community Connection is still being funded and in operation. Art Schneider said the statewide social service database is still active, but that there has been significant funding reduction. 

 Harry noted that date entry has been demanding and that searches require several iterations. Art reported that the system has been recently upgraded and is much easier to search Fred Rather, support desk manager, told Art Schneider that the site is receiving 12,000 visits a month.

 American heritage Music: JoAnn distributed handouts on the American heritage music programs September 19 and 20 in Arrow Rock.

 Classic Cable: Davis Haun reported an article in the Boonville Daily News that Classic Cable is trying to find a buyer for the Boonville site. We do not know how this might affect the Boonville Internet users.  David said the hope is to have a buyer for the franchise by the end of October.

 Linda Moore: Joann also reported that Linda Moore of Arrow Rock would be at future board meetings.

 Cooper county Historical Society: Joann reported that she had been contacted by the Cooper County Historical Society about updating its page. JoAnn said the society did not realize that it was not on the server handling Mo-River.Net information, but on the Mid-Missouri.Net server.

 Tourism Grant: Art Schneider said the report has been submitted to the city. He noted that he provided a copy to Harry Stone. JoAnn requested a copy from Harry for her records.

 Boonville Tourism Commission Meeting: Art Schneider reported that the Boonville Tourism Commission has a mandatory meeting for those planning to submit a proposal for this coming year. The meeting is at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, September 30. Harry Stone said he would attend. For Mo-River. Net.

 Art also reported that the commission would be accepting proposals through October.

 Blaster Worm: The Blaster Worm affected Unlimited Data and caused Mark Eslick considerable havoc. He placed the Mo-River.Net data on a temporary server while he fixed the server.  Data could not be entered on the server during that time. Also, visits to the web sites were deleted when the server went down.

 JoAnn recommended the Norton Works antivirus. She said she has not had problems with viruses through this service.

 Additions to Mo-River.Net—Art reported that several additions and corrections have been made on the Education, Government, and Hispanic/Latino pages.

 Next Board meeting: Art said he would be unable to attend the Oct. 17 board meeting and asked if the board would consider another date. Board discussed and David Haun moved and Don Stevens seconded that the board meet at 10:30 a.m. Oct. 16.Passed four to one—Harry Stone in the minority.

 Dues: Art said he believed annual corporate dues need to be collected from the Boonville School system and the Isle of Capri.

 Meeting adjourned at 11:47 a. m.
