Old Business
Tourism Grant: Art discussed the "new requirements" required to apply for a Tourism grant. Intern allotment is restricted to $721.00. We paid Amanda $7.00 per hour. We would start putting up the 400+ properties on the National Register of Historic Places. We will apply for 100 hours, to include ancillary costs.
Membership Organizations: Cooper County Historical Society. Should we request that they be members of MRN? Why not also churches, etc. Put up non-profit pages at no charge. Example – Barb Thoma’s theatre group. Downtown Art Project – Twenty-five 18" versions of the Hannah Cole statue will be sold. 500 raffle chances on one of the statues will be sold at $10.00 each, or two for $15.00.Corporate Sponsor Renewals: Secretary will send letters to those due for renewal. As of now, at least the following appear to be due: Isle of Capri (2002), Citizen’s Bank and Trust (2002), UMB Bank (2002), and Potter Transport.
New Business:
The Boonslick Tourism Committee wants a web page. We will make one for them.
JoAnn is working on the format of MRN Index page.
JoAnn and Bill will work the Veteran’s Day fair at the High School Commons on Saturday.
