Board members attending: JoAnn Sullivan, presiding, Harry Stone, Bill Sullivan, Art Schneider, Pete Rodman. Visitors: Mona Cenatiempo

Secretary’s Report: Accepted as presented.

Treasurer’s Report: Filed for reference as presented.

Old Business

Membership: Ron Lenz has sold Rivercene. We need to approach the new owners, Bill and MariJo Alter about MRN membership and Corporate Sponsor status.

JoAnn currently sends email notices to regular members for annual renewal.

Corporate Sponsors: Secretary should also be sending renewal notices to current Corporate Sponsors, such as Potter Transport. Our grant request to Wal-Mart if looking good for up to $500.00. Art Schneider and Bill Sullivan will go out in May to make personal calls on potential new Corporate Sponsors.

Computer lessons: The student base is dwindling, but those remaining are still enthusiastic. JoAnn teaches on Tuesday afternoons, Harry on Tuesday mornings, Bonnie from 6:00pm until 8:00pm Thursday’s and Jeff Lueck on Saturday mornings. Harry suggested that we try to get the computer class schedule posted in the various church bulletins. Debbie has a real computer teacher coming in April. The Computer Club appears to be slowly dying, while the classes remain vigorous.

Up-dating Pages: Some of our hit counters are not working. On that subject, MRN is not doing as well as last year. We currently have only 7,577 hits. That’s less than 30 hits per day. The Board agreed that we need to examine our place on the major search engines to see if we can increase visitation to MRN.

NEW BUSINESS:

Lewis & Clark celebration: Bill Sullivan is posting new material to the Lewis & Clark page. We will soon have a listing, with pictures, of locally available memorabilia. On the Political page, JoAnn will contact Gary Harris about creating a Republican page. Pete said he will post results for local elections.

Tourism Grant: Amanda is putting up the 60 Historic sites. Jackie Bruner is doing the writing. Darin Starr will be asked to do direct links to the street addresses.

No further business appearing, meeting was adjourned.
