Board members attending: JoAnn Sullivan, presiding, Harry Stone, Bill Sullivan, Art Schneider, and David Haun.

Secretary’s Report: Accepted as amended. (Amanda NOT done yet)

Treasurer’s Report: Filed for reference as presented.

Old Business

Wal-Mart Grant: Tracy Walkup and Danielle Blanck have discussed with Dennis Raney what their thoughts are on needy organizations as far as need for grants.

Tourism Grant: 60 properties are completed and up. Amanda and Jackie Bruner are still working. We still now need pictures to go with the descriptions. Bill Sullivan and Art have looked at some of the properties and found that we probably DO NOT want to put up pictures of every property. Some are in such a state of disrepair that it would be counter productive to show them on the internet.

Corporate Sponsors: Art Schneider and Bill Sullivan made personal visits to quite a number of potential Corporate Sponsors and gained four (4) new ones. JoAnn has modified the MRN home page to better show all our Corporate Sponsors.

Report on Links: David Haun has discovered and reported numerous bad links. JoAnn, Harry, and others are working on them as they can.

Other old business: None

NEW BUSINESS:

Stipend Volunteer(s): Now that the treasury has some additional funds available, it is time to consider hiring a stipend volunteer to help maintain the MRN site. Bill Sullivan reported that Margie Brimer had indicated an interest in the job. Margie works in her home and has both the time and ability to do the work required on MRN.

JoAnn reported that Mark Eslick is starting, or has in place, a site called "BoonvilleInfo.com", that can be used for Boonville businesses who just want a one page "Web Presence". His son Miguel, who is very interested in web page development, and other internet activities, might be available to work on this.

At one of his classes in Marshall, Art discovered a great interest by National Guard families to have a site to put up pictures and other family-interest information so that their spouses, who are on active duty in Iraq and elsewhere, could have convenient access to it via the internet. Although this sounds like a very good idea, we would need to check with the National Guard in Jefferson City before proceeding.

Art said that his office had a surplus University Extension computer that could be purchased by MRN, or other not-for-profit organizations. Bill Sullivan will pick it up and check it out for possible use by MRN.

No further business appearing, meeting was adjourned.
