OLD BUSINESS: Board discussed a work plan for stipend volunteer, Margie Brimer. A new group As The River Flows Outreach is addressing the spousal abuse problem and needs a web page. This could be a good project for Margie.
New Correspondence: No correspondence
Other old business: JoAnn attended the Tourism Training provided by the Boonville Tourism committee, which is a prerequisite for applying for tourism grants.
Jana Hawleys class is still working on MRN.
NEW BUSINESS:
Revision of MRN Policy: MRN currently has no policy or guidelines for the posting of stories and inspirational vignettes. JoAnn was contacted by the author of one of those on MRN, which raised the issue of using copyrighted material without specific permission or attribution. JoAnn has talked to Melanie at the Library and has a call in to Scott Jackson at the Boonville Daily News, seeking further information on the issue.
Other New Business: The Board congratulates Pete Rodman on his 25th Wedding Anniversary.
Board of Directors Terms: JoAnn Sullivan and Art Schneider 2004; Bill Sullivan, Pete Rodman, and Don Stevens 2005; Stan Serck 2006. The board extended all terms for two (2) years. Bill Sullivan nominated Don Stevens to be Vice President, Stan Serck 2d motion, Don was elected.
