Board members attending: JoAnn Sullivan, presiding; Bill Sullivan, and Art Schneider.

Jo Ann introduced Visitors Carol Schupp, Arlene Borchers, and Bill Embry, Cooper County Eastern District Commissioner

Secretary’s Report: Accepted as presented.

Treasurer’s Report: Accepted for file as presented

OLD BUSINESS:

(1) Tourism Grant: Art contacted Steve Welliver to photocopy the applications and then do a synopsis for the web. He will then put on MRN. Goal is to finish Historic Places. However, some have already been demolished. We already have about 70 pictures, but will need to wait until May 2005 to take the rest of them. JoAnn explained the Room Tax that generates the Tourism Grant money. Art explained that a previous grant had listed restaurants, motels, meeting spaces, and other "Convention" needs. (2) JoAnn described a Howard County page that she found. It needs to be sorted and rearranged. No one knows who put the page up. (3) JoAnn and Darlene worked out a new arrangement for the menu to be on each page of MRN. (4) Copyright policy: Art brought the list of CIN’s and sent an email message to each one. Nearly every one bounced. COIN and one in Kansas City and another in Lebanon do not have a copyright policy, but are now looking into it. MRN is not an Internet Service Provider as many of the others are.

Other old business: Friends of Historic Boonville are back in business. They were closed for six weeks on comp time and a furnace breakdown.

NEW BUSINESS: JoAnn is still working on getting an index on all MRN pages. JoAnn reported on her conversation with Jana Hawley – Dreamweaver and Front Page may not be compatible. Darlene will still try to do a test page. Correspondence: Most of the correspondence has been from people wanting something changed, which is good because then we can do updates. County Government expanded page: Bill Embry getting questions from constituents wanting information about the County business. Bill has set a goal to make that information available by expanding the County Government presence on the internet.

Other new business: Art nominated Bill Embry to be an MRN Board Member. Stan 2d. Motion passed

Bill Sullivan moved and Stan 2d motion to pay $60 annual Chamber of Commerce dues. Motion passed.

No further business appearing, meeting was adjourned.
