Board members attending: JoAnn Sullivan, presiding; Bill Sullivan, Stan Serck and Art Schneider.

Visitors: Eddie Brickner, Cooper County Presiding Commissioner, stopped by and visited briefly with the Board. JoAnn expressed the Board’s thanks and appreciation for the County Commission becoming a Corporate Sponsor of Mo-River.net.

Secretary’s Report: Accepted as presented.

Treasurer’s Report: Accepted for file as presented

OLD BUSINESS: (1) Tourism Grant Report: Art has talked to Don Stevens about typing up the narratives on the Historic Places project, but Don’s health is such that he cannot do that now. There are still about 200 narratives that need to be done, each requiring some 10 to 15 minutes each. The Board will continue to seek someone who can do this work. (2) Stipened Volunteer Report: JoAnn has assigned the Howard County page to Margie to get unscrambled and straightened out. Margie still has about 70 hours of time left on her contract. (3) Other Old Business: None

NEW BUSINESS: (1) Correspondence: Most of the correspondence continues to be from people wanting something changed. JoAnn has received inquiries from CCBC, Knights of Columbus, Barb Thoma with the Missouri River Youth Theatre, and others. Stan suggested we approach those organizations and individuals to help work on MRN. Perhaps helping with such projects as the Historic Properties narratives, etc. (2) Coming Events: JoAnn remarked that at Women’s Club meetings, Mary Ellen McVicker always hands out a hard copy listing of coming events and JoAnn thinks such a listing on MRN would be a nice addition. At this time she won’t go hunting for such information, but will post whatever is brought to her attention. (3) Other new business: Art made a motion that the Board extend a strong vote of appreciation to JoAnn for her tireless and dedicated work on MRN. Stan seconded the motion, which passed unanimously! Art also reminded the Board of the huge contribution being made by Mark and Theresa Eslick, owners of Unlimited Data Systems, which hosts MRN at no cost. JoAnn reminded the Board that Mark has dedicated an entire server just to MRN.

No further business appearing, meeting was adjourned.
