Board members attending: JoAnn Sullivan, presiding; Bill Sullivan, Art Schneider and Bill Embry.
Secretarys Report: Accepted as presented.
Treasurers Report: Accepted for file as presented
OLD BUSINESS: (1) Tourism Grant Report: Art reported that Steve Welliver has resigned as an intern due to his academic load and school obligations. Art has contacted Carol Layne, the High School computer teacher, to help identify and recruit another student to complete the project. (2) Stipened Volunteer Report: JoAnn is very pleased with the work Margie is doing. Margie still has about 50 hours of time left on her contract. (3) Coming Events: JoAnn was unable to get the updated list from Maryellen this week. She is going to look at putting a link to the Chamber Events and Activities page. (4) Cooper County page: Bill Embry has the first County Commissioners report and has given it to both the Tipton Times and to the Boonville Daily News. JoAnn is going to set up a Mo-river.net page to display the report. She asked that Bill E. send the reports to her as an attachment via email. (5) Corporate Sponsors: Bill S. reported that Charlie Brown Insurance is now a sponsor. Art reminded the Secretary that it is time to send out Corporate Sponsor renewal notices. Bill S. will start sending them out. Art reported that he has corrected the mistakes on the Harry Potter page.
NEW BUSINESS: (1) Correspondence: JoAnn reported that she had a call from a man who was in the last class to graduate from high school at the LSE facility. He wasnt wanting anything, but seemed to just want to touch base at home again. Another had found a family name in one of the Lions sites and wanted more info, which JoAnn gave. Bob Rorah, Executive Director of Boonville Housing Authority, wanted to get their site updated, with also some pictures. Other New Business: Art reminded the Board that in June of this year Boonville will be celebrating "Bingham Days". He noted that we do not have very much on George Calib Bingham on Mo-River.net and that perhaps we should try to improve that situation. For example, we could have a biographical page, plus a listing of his works, etc. We could note where some local and nearby Binghams are on display. Art lamented the fact that Boonville has no suitable repository for art works, since we really need to have those that belong in Boonville to be on display here.
No further business appearing, meeting was adjourned.
